Restraint Systems (Hooks) – Upgrade Program
Restraint systems or hooks are essential devices for ensuring safety within a loading dock. This equipment, initially launched by our long-standing partner Rite-Hite, represents a more efficient and secure alternative to wheel chocks. They are all the more practical if you update them regularly to adapt to modern truck and trailer designs.
Why use retaining hooks?
Trucks or trailers must remain stationary during loading or unloading in order to guarantee the safety of workers and goods. Accidents such as the movement of the trailer under the action of various movements inside or the premature departure of the vehicle can indeed occur. The retaining hooks have been designed to prevent this kind of incident.
The different models of retaining hooks
We sell different models of restraint systems:
- The vertical barrier: wall mounted, stored on the ground or embedded under the pit;
- Rotary restraint systems: GRH-700, SHR-500 and STR-4200;
- Wheel lock restraint systems suitable for virtually all tire sizes: GWL-2300 and MWL-1300.
We also offer additional, intelligent accessories and communication systems that alert occupants to the presence of a trailer on the dock or a forklift inside. It also allows the truck driver and other workers to know the condition of the retaining hook.
Updating your restraint system: Upgrade Program
Trailer designs in the industry are continually evolving, which means older models of restraint systems may not be suitable for newer vehicles. In this case, it is essential to update your already existing Rite-Hite equipment with more modern components to optimize the safety within your loading dock.
